Bling Brows by Benefit and Swarovski

Bling Brows is a collaboration between Benefit Cosmetics and Swarovski Crystals. The title says it all, this product is marketed for your brows, face, and body. Each set comes with 52 crystals in two colors and a pair of mini tweezers. The primary use of this product of for the brows. But I find myself having mixed feelings about this product.

The idea of putting crystals on my eyebrow hairs is a little weird. This product reminds me of the late 90s early 2000s clubbing days and all of the girls wearing bling on their face or near their eye. Which my preteen self thought was totally cool and still kind of do. But then again, i do not think I would wear this on a daily basis even the fashion lover inside of me cringes at the thought of wearing this. That being said, it looks amazing on other girls.

Even Gwen Stefani rocked this look in the 90s.

How to apply:

Peel off black backing sheet. Use tweezers to pick up the self-adhesive crystals then place next to or directly onto brows. Press with finger to secure. Gently pull off crystals to remove. Adhesive on back of crystal is dermatologist tested.
The word adhesive terrifies me! Even when wearing fake lashes, the adhesive takes off some of your real lashes when removing the fake ones at the end of the day (not all of the time). So the thought of adhesive on my eyebrows is not appealing.

Final thoughts:
1). Need to try this product out and see how I look with them but maybe on a night out to a club or a party.
2). Conquer my fear of hair and adhesive.

Update!

Hello Everyone!

Sorry we have been not posted for a long time! It has been way too long. Me and Aika actually just came back a week or two ago from Japan so we have been trying to get back into the whole college academic scene.

Anyway we will soon create a new post about our experience in Japan and the fashion there. I took some pictures of people but it was hard since some do not like having their picture taken. I did not want to ask either haha. I am a photographer who does not like to ask for permission.

Hope you guys enjoy our future posts.

Grown out Pixie

Hello everyone!

I cut my hair this summer. It was a pixie cut! I was inspired by Emma Watson, she is so beautiful no matter what haircut she has. She is one of my Fashion Idols! I think she is so elegant and classy with an edge! And I think that is my kind of style also.

But I will blurt more about my adoration towards Emma Watson later. For now I will talk about my hair.

During the summer I was contemplating whether to cut my hair in a pixie or to leave it in the BOB style I loved. Well, I decided to cut it! I am a person who is not afraid of cutting my hair! I will cut it anyway I feel I would look good with...and that leads to my obsession with having my hair PERFECT. If my hair does not sit right, I get frustrated...although, it is only hair.

This is a picture from August, when I first cut my hair. I was so in love with it! I still am but I am growing it out now for a different look.

The growing out process, for a person like me, is incredibly irritating!!! It looked good for the first 3 months or so but once it started to grow out more, it looked like a BAD HAIRCUT. My bangs were the longest part of my Pixie and as they were growing and still are growing, they are the longest part of my hair. It throws my whole haircut out of balance and is difficult to style!

My pixie cut is not the conventional cut. There are many different types of styles when it comes to the pixie. The key is to find one that will look good on you! I have a prominent nose, so for my face a pixie with long bangs would look the best in order to not draw attention to the nose directly.

This is my hair now. It looks undone and unpolished to me. I do not like it, but in order to have long hair again, I need to grow it out! It is difficult to style sometimes, since my bangs are too long and my sides are short.

I am contemplating whether to cut it again or suffer through the IMPERFECTION! LOL

With all of this said, if you are considering a PIXIE CUT do not fear it! Like I stated before, find the pixie that will fit your style and face! Do NOT fear, it is hair and you only live once!

Christmas Dinner Event!

Hello!

I have been studying for my finals, which is the reason for the inconsistent posting, but I am finally done with my first semester of college! Yay! Now it is time to relax before next semester and enjoy my time at home.

Me and Aika attended a Christmas dinner for our club last Friday and we went to a Chinese Buffet. We dressed up, of course, and Aika even got asked out by a 40 year old with a daughter haha! I thought it was hilarious! The Chinese buffet even had Horchata!!! Horchata is a Mexican drink, made of rice. So delicious! A lot of hilarious things happened that night, it was a really fun and amazing night!

Anyway we did not take single shots of our outfits but our friends took pics and tagged us on FB, so I will show our partial outfits here...excuse my hunch back but I was trying to get down to my friends height lol
This is me!:) I am wearing a dress this brown dress with black accents (Forever 21 $28), tights (Target $7), and black suede wedges (H&M $30), which by the way are painful! Cute? yes! But very painful! And I wore my trench coat! Yes ladies and gentlemen, I have finally bought my trench coat...no picture sorry!

Aika is wearing a thrifted shirt, a skirt which I also have lol (we bought them together at a store which went out of business, so it was cheap), tights (Target $7), and my sister-in-laws suede black pumps, which are even more painful than my wedges! But...PAIN is BEAUTY right?

OOTD-Aika! (ipad)

Hey! I am posting this post from my iPad! So I do not know how this will look but I am giving it a try anyway since it's a very quick Outfit Of The Day!

This is Aika's casual Sunday outfit! We were hanging out and decided to do a quick blogpost!

Hope you like it! She is wearing a kind of nerd chic look! Jeweltone colors are big this fall and of course the "cute nerd" look has been popular for a while now.

The mix of the mustard colored shirt with jade green cardigan is very much fall and leave inspired! (falling leaves)

She is wearing black shorts with gray tights...the gray tights are a nice way to show off her legs and add some more color! Too much black can be overwhelming for such a small frame! But again as I have mentioned before black is my favorite color and I wear A LOT of it, so it is all about preference!

The accessories were very simple. For starters her shoes are sneakers! Most comfortable shoes a girl can own! Adding a little more nerd and boyish charm. Next her necklace is "nerd glasses" (cute right?) which again adds to the nerd aspect. Finally her watch is silver and small perfect for the simple casual look:)

Feel free to recreate or get inspired by this "Nerd Chic" look!

Hope you enjoyed this REALLY QUICK OOTD!!!

OOTD: Carolina

 "Friday Night Bowling" OOTD

Black and White, my favorite tones to wear. This combination of tones is very striking - I love the contrast.  With this outfit, one has many choices on how to accessorize and dress it up to your personal style. Let's see what kind of accessories Carolina chose!

This bowler hat, I would say, is one of the key pieces to this wardrobe.  It adds to the masculinity of the outfit, which is definitely what Carolina's personal style is all about.
(Hat from H&M $12)

Simple black stud earrings add to the dark, edgy look of this outfit.

A gold statement necklace adds that little needed pop of color.
(Necklace from jewelmint.com - called "Sealed With Love" necklace $15, Top from TJMaxx $7)

I like how she chose textured tights instead of regular opaque black tights (which would give her look a "blocky" feel - playing with texture makes the outfit more balanced.) Don't be afraid to pair up different patterns and textures!
(Tights from Target $7; Shorts from Goodwill $4)

Now for the piece that pulls the outfit together - the simple black blazer.  Blazers are one of my favorite articles of clothing. It is so versatile, and I love how it instantly makes one's outfit more polished and dressed up.
(Blazer from Strawberry $6)

This outfit is stylish yet comfortable, perfect for a night of fun bowling with friends! (:

Thanks for reading, until next time! -Aika <3

OOTD! Friends- Part 2

Hello!

I did not post yesterday because I could not for the life of me find the time! School is so overwhelming sometimes. But anyway, my next friend also likes fashion and dressed up a bit for the mini event:)
Here she is wearing a white mini pea-coat over her outfit! It gives her a nice shape and accentuates her waist.

She is wearing a flowy top with a rose print and a lace trim top. I love the lace because it gives a little peek of skin without being overexposed and gives a more refreshing feeling. If she had a solid top she would feel too weighed down by the fabric!
This outfit paired with a body-con skirt was a great choice. It accentuates her curves and gives her a slimmer look. She has a great figure so definitely show it off!:) I like how she paired it with one simple bracelet and black tights. LADIES invest in a pair of opaque black tights! Another essential piece in a girls wardrobe!

She paired it all with white shoes which is a nice choice since she is wearing all black. Too much black can be overwhelming and depressing! Don't get me wrong! BLACK is my favorite color and I love wearing a lot because it makes me look slimmer^-^ but in this case it would be too much!:)

Thank you!<3 Carolina
